Superbowl XLIII
Watch ALL the commercials online at NBC.com/super-bowl
For Superbowl XLIII, NBC.com supported the biggest broadcast in television history (151.6 milltion total viewers) with a micosite covering the flavor-of-the-event including the parties, celebrity interviews and of course the commercials!
Throughout the weeks leading up to the event and on gameday, I took the operational lead for ALL of the over 130 video clips posted to the site - including almost 70 on game day alone. This involved setting up initial asset delivery workflows, collecting and entering metadata, deploying assets in real-time on gameday and managing the presentation and organization of the content.
Additionally I coordinated the video component of our “Jumbo-Tron” experience, designed to share exclusive video clips (featuring NBC talent) shown in-stadium during the actual game.

Reality Casting Application
Initially developed for Hallock Healey Entertainment in Los Angeles, Be on TV Now.com provided the production company with an easy-to-use web based reality casting system. Built upon the Taleo Talent Management Platform, the system allowed candidates to submit detailed applications from the comfort of their homes. Once submitted, the system provided backend tools to automatically “knock-out” candidates with significant red-flags, efficiently review & process applications in bulk, and shepherd top talent through the interview and background check process.
For this project I completed initial research resulting in selecting Taleo as our backend solution provider, designed the frontend application template and implemented the backend processing workflow.
In addition to the custom graphics designed for the website, I also created a promotional package including flyers, business cards and other print collateral.

BenevolentTomorrow.com
Acting as webmaster for Benevolent Tomorrow (a Los Angeles based rock band) I delivered a custom WordPress powered blog and CMS (Content Management Service) with extensive photo galleries, a dynamic show calendar, mailing list manager, polling service and more. This site was designed with the latest web 2.0 standards & technologies and is intended to make it very easy for band members and management to update all content without administrator intervention.

Murrow Marketing Blog
Watch the rest of the videos at: http://www.murrow-blog.com
Produced as an extension of the successful Living the Murrow Legacy videos shot in 2006, this project was designed to promote the Edward R. Murrow School of Communication as a world-class institution to learn the craft of communication. This series of videos was thus produced under the theme of With a Degree from the Murrow School you can go Anywhere! Over the course of 10 days Kate Yeager (’07 Broadcast News) and I traveled to Seattle and then to Los Angeles to interview a number of Murrow alumni working in media. We spoke with them about their WSU experiences, career path, and advice for future students / industry professionals. For this project I acted a the Director and PR Coordinator, including all camera work, lighting, editing and technical coordination.
Live Blog
In addition to the final videos being prepared for the Murrow website and future promotional videos, we maintained a “live-blog” chronicling the road trip, interviews, and adventures along the way. This website (http://www.murrow-blog.com) was very successful with over 5,000 page hits and over 2,000 views of the videos over the 30 day promotional period. Based on the WordPress blogging platform I was able to customize this site under the WSU Identity and provide archives, commenting tools and embedded videos. Additionally we published a video podcast of our trip which is available on the iTunes Music Store as well as several other podcast directories.
Press Releases / News Articles
I was able to coordinate several news articles and press releases promoting the trip. Several of the stories and news releases are linked below:
WSU Student Testimonials
This series of recruitment videos was designed act as an initial contact to high achieving prospective students who might not be considering WSU a one of their college options. These targeted videos were e-mailed to approximately 150,000 high school students based on their field of interest. Working with WSU’s Office of Marketing Communications I taped each of the interviews, edited them down to about one minute each, and provided support as they were encoded in Flash Video.

Mock Professional Site (EdgeWave Compliance)
For the final project of the semester I was able to work with several other students to create a website for the fictional company EdgeWave Complaince. This company was origionally created for an English 402 group project exploring technical writing in the context of an ethics training program.
Hypertext Multimedia Argument (Why Mac?)
For the second Hypertext Multimedia Argument I attempted to prove that the Mac computer is the perfect system for every college student. By exploring several design, software and other relavant features, I was able to demonstrate the superiority of the Mac platform.
